Shirts using our kyo-katagami patterns are now available from the Beams Plus brand.
The two patterns are “Suimon” and “Ho-tsume”.
These patterns seem to have been made at the end of the Edo period.
Now let us introduce the original katagami.
First is the “Suimon” pattern.
The pattern “Suimon” is a design of ripples on the surface of the water.
Next is “Ho-tsume”.
“Ho-tsume” is a pattern that represents the front view of old sailboats.
It feels very modern.
Miyoshi Senko was founded at the end of the Edo period in Ogawa-dori, Oike-agaru, near the center of Kyoto City.
Even in the chaos during and after World War II, they managed to continue their business.
In June 1963, amid the postwar kimono reconstruction, the company was reorganized as Miyoshi Senko, Inc. and has continued its business responding to the ever-changing industry.
